Position: Senior Manager of Advancement-Alumni

he American College of Greece seeks a qualified Senior Manager of Advancement-Alumni to develop and cultivate relationships with Alba alumni in Greece and abroad and to manage fundraising projects related to the ALBA community.

Required Qualifications:

  • MA/MS degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or related field preferably from an accredited European, US or UK institution of higher education.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in Business Development, Relationship Management, Marketing or Sales
  • Ability to lead others in the accomplishment of goals, foster staff development
  • Experience in Marketing, Communications & events Management managerial roles
  • Highly collaborative, team oriented with strong interpersonal, networking skills. Self – driven
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in managing/overseeing online platforms, i.e. CRM
  • Excellent presentation/negotiation skills
  • Excellent written & oral communication skills in English & Greek
  • Proficient in MS Office & good knowledge of social media strategy.

Other Requirements:

  • The scope of the job frequently requires travel and attendance at evening and/or weekend activities, meetings, events, conferences etc.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implements a strategic plan designed to provide meaningful opportunities for Alba alumni to enhance engagement, loyalty, participation and support
  • Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward relations with alumni and corporate donors with the aim to increase alumni giving and create a culture of philanthropy
  • Work closely with Executive Directors of Advancement to cultivate corporate giving and alumni giving as well as with peers in Greece to meet fundraising goals and support the VP of Advancement to solicit grants
  • Identify and support fundraising projects to ensure the implementation of the ACG strategic plans. Support the development of grant proposals aiming to develop mutually beneficial partnerships and raise funds as per the ACG strategic goals
  • Identify and develop material for all Alumni related platforms including the Alba Alumni networking platform
  • Conceptualize and manage all Alba alumni related events in Greece i.e., alumni committees etc., and supports ACG fundraising events
  • Coordinate marketing activities, programs and communications with the aim to increase alumni engagement and giving
