The Centre for Knowledge Management is Organizing OKLC 2002 The aim of the Centre is to systematically investigate the ways in which companies (in Greece and elsewhere, but primarily in Greece) create and utilise knowledge, learn, and change in order to obtain a sustainable competitive advantage. The objectives of the Centre for Knowledge Management are:
- to generate empirically validated knowledge about the effective management of organization knowledge
- to investigate the links between knowledge management strategies, competitive advantage, and corporate performance
- to enhance the hitherto understanding of the processes through which organisations successfully sustain, utilise, and refine collective knowledge, support innovation, learn and change
The above objectives will be achieved through the close collaboration of the Centre with Greek industry. The underlying purpose of the Centre is to produce knowledge that will assist Greek companies to attain competitive advantage through the effective management of their knowledge assets and to extend the boundaries of social scientific knowledge in this area. In other words, we want to deepen our theoretical understanding in order to assist Greek companies to become more effective. As the American psychologist Kurt Lewin once put it, "there is nothing quite so practical as a good theory". |
