Stelios Kavadias is currently an Assistant Professor of Operations and Technology Management at the College of Management of the Georgia Institute of Technology (Georgia Tech). He has received his M.S. in Management Science and his Ph.D. in Management from INSEAD in Fontainebleau, France, and he has obtained a diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from NTUA (National Technical University of Athens – EMΠ). He has also taught at the WHU-Koblenz German Business School.
Dr, Kavadias specializes in the management of the new product development and the firm innovation processes. More specifically he is interested in project selection methods, the management of new product teams, and the governance mechanisms of inter-firm innovation processes (product co-development, innovation outsourcing). His research has appeared in academic outlets such as Management Science, Production and Operations Management, IIE Transactions. He is the author of the book “Project Selection Under Uncertainty” published by Kluwer Academic Press, and the recipient of the 2nd prize in the Dantzig Best Dissertation Competition. He is a member of the editorial board in Production and Operations Management and in Decision Sciences. Stelios teaches courses on Production and Operations Management, Collaborative Product Development, and Management of Technology at the MBA level, and Project Management at the executive education center of Georgia Tech.
