    CAREER DEVELOPMENT EVENTS & ACTIVITIES

    Career Development Activities

Career Development activities aim at exploring or strengthening students’ personal skills, in order to be able to successfully perform in interviews with potential employers at the Career Forum or after completion of their studies. These are:

    • Interviewing Skills Workshop - Interviewing Role Playing
(A prerequisite for all students who are going to participate in the Career Forum)

This is an intensive workshop that takes place near the end of studies, aiming at training students on how to perform best in interviews with potential recruiters The main objective of the workshop for the participants is to obtain a competitive advantage in their attempt to gain the job they wish through in depth understanding of the selection process and through improvement of their skills as interviewees.

Interviewing role playing is an interactive practice that helps students explore their strengths and weaknesses during an interview, taking either the role of the interviewee or the role of the interviewer.

    • Psychometrics Tests.
These tests measure personal abilities that are directly related to the effective or superior performance of an employee in a job. ALBA provides its students with the opportunity to practice the Verbal Critical Reasoning VMG1 and Numerical Critical Reasoning NMG1 of SHL in order to familiarize them with this assessment procedure and make them feel more confident and relaxed during the selection process. These tests are used by the biggest multinational/Greek companies for the evaluation of applicants within the early stage of the selection process.( SHL company was founded by Professor Peter Saville and Roger Holdsworth, Chartered Psychologists, fellow and associate fellow of the British Psychological Society).

Career Development events aim at enhancing students’ understanding of the job market
