We are looking for high-potential individuals with good quantitative background, with degrees in Business, Economics, Engineering or Science, a genuine interest in finance, leadership potential, good communication skills and ample motivation to succeed.
In addition, since English is the language of instruction, it is essential that all participants have excellent command of the English language and to be currently employed (valid for the part time program only).
Admissions Process
Candidates to be considered for the MSc in Finance must submit the following documents:
ALBA's application form, including two recent photographs
A Certified copy of the Diploma (of the undergraduate - or graduate studies if any)
Official transcripts of grades (of the undergraduate - or graduate studies if any)
Two letters of recommendation (in Greek) - (in English)
Evidence of fluency in the English language. Candidates are required to either hold the Proficiency or take the TOEFL scores (88 minimum score), or IELTS (6.5 minimum score) or a bachelor's degree from a university where all courses were taught in English
Essays
As part of the admission process, personal interviews are also arranged. When applying, interested prospective applicants are advised to follow the specific directions and deadlines contained in the leaflet "INFORMATION FOR APPLICANTS". Applications received after the submission deadline may not be reviewed for the current intake, but will certainly be reviewed for next year's intake. Also applications with one or more missing documents will not be processed until these documents are received within proper time. Admission to the Program is decided by the Admissions Committee on the basis of qualifications and the student's personality and commitment.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
ALBA aims to attract the best applicants regardless of their ability to finance their education. For this reason, ALBA offers a limited number of scholarships to applicants who have demonstrated a strong academic performance and/or an excellent professional track record. Furthermore, there is also financial aid, available to those candidates who do not have enough funds to finance their studies.
Scholarships and financial aid cover a portion of the cost of tuition.
In assessing your eligibility for scholarship or financial aid, the Admissions Committee will consider the following criteria in the given priority order:
Scholarship
Academic performance
Professional experience (if required)
Financial Aid
Financial need
Working status
All students receiving scholarship are expected to maintain a cumulative point average of at least 3.0 If a scholarship recipient's grade point average (or CI) drops below 3.0 at the end of a term, then the scholarship is discontinued for the period until it becomes 3.0 or above. In that case the student has the obligation to pay an amount corresponding to that period.
Applicants who wish to apply for scholarship or financial aid must complete the relevant form and submit it to the ALBA MSc in Finance Office along with the application form.
