Unique International Recognition of ALBAs Dean

Dean Nickolaos G. Travlos, Professor of Finance and Holder of the 'Kitty Kyriacopoulos Chair of Finance' is the only Professor of a Greek academic institution to be included in the list of the 332 most prolific authors who, among 17,573 authors worldwide, have published their work in the top seven (7) Finance Journals over the last fifty years (1953-2002).

Among those 332 most prolific authors, only nine (9) are affiliated with six (6) European Business Schools (alphabetical order):
1. ALBA
2. INSEAD (3 profesors)
3. London Business School (2 professors)
4. london School of Economics
5. University of Amsterdam
6. University of Vienna

The same list includes the following eleven authors who are affiliated with ALBA either as visiting professors or as Members of ALBA's Academic Council and the Academic Advisory Committee of ALBA's MSc in Finance Program:

Yakov Amihud (Stern School of Business, NYU), Menachem Brenner (Stern School of Business, NYU), Martin J. Gruber (Stern School of Business, NYU), George Kanatas 2(Rice University), Alan Marcus (Boston College), Anthony Saunders (Stern School of Business, NYU), Sheridan Titman (University of Texas, Austin), George Constantinides (University of Chicago), William Goetzmann (Yale University), Michael Jensen (Harvard Business School), and Stephen A. Ross (MIT).

The majority of the authors included in the associated list work in the top twenty U.S. Business Schools. The only European Academic Institutions represented are ALBA, INSEAD and London Business School.
