Former US senator, Paul S. Sarbanes, to speak on corporate governance

ALBA Graduate Business School had the honor of organizing and hosting a speech by former US Senator Paul S. Sarbanes, entitled «Corporate Responsibility and Ethics».

The event took place on Thursday 28th June 2007, at 18:30, at the Cotsen Hall and Gennadeion Gardens of The American School of Classical Studies in Kolonaki (61 Souidias Str. - entrance is on Anapiron Polemou Str.)

Former United States Senator Paul S. Sarbanes is the co-author of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, which has transformed the business world and restored public confidence in Wall Street, by holding companies liable for unethical actions.
The Sarbanes-Oxley Act is considered to be one of the most ground-breaking reforms in corporate legislation in the modern history of the United States. Senator Sarbanes' legislative work has created a lasting impact on the world of business. Through his actions and legislation, ethical behavior must now be standard practice for all companies, creating a positive business environment for employees and the public.
