ALBA is the scientific partner of the “HR Manager of the Year 2010” and “HR Innovation Award”

ALBA Graduate Business School is the scientific partner of “HR Manager of the Year 2010” organized by the Greek Personnel Management Association (GPMA) for the eighth consecutive year and the “HR Innovation Award”, introduced by GPMA for the first time this year.

About the HR Manager of the Year

GPMA awards the best HR Manager in Greece each year with significant presence and contribution to the development of the HR field in Greece.

Among other things, this award highlights the strategic role of HR management among companies that operate in Greece and promotes the work of exceptional HR executives who act as strategic partners to their employers.

Two committees are responsible for organizing and evaluating the participants, the members of which are experienced practitioners and distinguished academics in the fields of Management and HR. Mr. Nikos Ebeoglou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of ALBA, is a member of the evaluation committee, whereas ALBA Professors, Dr. Olga Epitropaki, The Stavros Costopoulos Chair in Human Resource Management and Development, and Dr. Evi Baralou, Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior, are members of the organizing committee.

About the HR Innovation Award

The aim of this initiative is to promote and reward innovative ideas and practices in the field of HR management. Each year the Award will focus on a specific topic. For 2010, the topic is: Young Ideas Award.

The award recipient will have the opportunity to promote his/her work along with his/her company and department through the HR and business community.

Two committees are responsible for organizing and evaluating the participants, the members of which are experienced practitioners and distinguished academics in the fields of Management and HR. Dr. Babis Mainemelis, Associate Professor of Organizational Behavior at ALBA, is a member of the evaluation committee, whereas ALBA Professors, Dr. Olga Epitropaki, The Stavros Costopoulos Chair in Human Resource Management and Development, and Dr. Evi Baralou, Assistant Professor of Organizational Behavior, are members of the organizing committee.
