How does the MBA in Banking curriculum and overall academic experience compare to that of world-class Business Schools?
The MBA in Banking is comparable in quality to that of any other leading institution. Our group of Resident Faculty, who are distinguished teachers and researchers, has carefully designed the curriculum to meet the needs of contemporary managers. The Visiting Faculty complements our team by bringing a wealth of teaching experience from around the world. Finally, the strict selection process we apply for all our Programs ensures a superb learning experience.
What unique features are exemplified in the HBA - ALBA MBA in Banking Program?
We are particularly proud of the tight integration of the core curriculum, which builds a sense of community among participants. In addition, the Program also has a hands-on orientation that enables students to enhance a variety of critical management skills - such as communication, negotiation, team-building and leadership - to complement and round off the theoretical knowledge acquired in the classroom.
Does the Program focus on the Greek Banking Industry?
The focus of this Program is the Greek market but its outlook is global. The official language of the Program is English, while the examples, problems, and case studies are drawn both from Greek and international practice. We expect that our graduates will be employed in banks and other finance sectors based in Greece who may be competing globally, thus we prepare them to advance both in the Greek and in the international working environment.
How long will it take me to complete the Program and what is the time commitment required?
It will take you 24 months to complete the Program if you attend classes twice a week. Depending on the course, for every four-hour session of instruction you will have to prepare anywhere between 4-10 hours. Participants do most of their work in teams and this helps them cope with such a heavy workload. The consolidation and coordination of work that teams ensure is an integral feature of the Program. In this way, students develop all the necessary skills to collectively handle real problems, while they are trained to cope with demanding work requirements, both qualitative and quantitative.
