Admissions Criteria
a. To apply as Student, applicants should meet all the following criteria:
- Be currently employed or self-employed
- Have received formal education in undergraduate or postgraduate level in the areas of economics or finance or quantitative methods or a combination of the above. If the admissions committee deems that the candidate does not have the necessary background, the candidate will be offered a place as auditor, not as student.
- Have full-time work experience of at least three years (military service not included)
- Have completed Military Service (where applicable)
b. To apply as Auditor, applicants should meet all the following criteria:
- Have received formal education in undergraduate or postgraduate level.
- Have full-time work experience of at least three years
Admissions Procedure
a. For students:
Submit the following documents:
- ALBA's application form, including two recent photographs
- Two letters of recommendation (in Greek) - (in English)
- Official transcripts as well as certified copies of degrees from each undergraduate, graduate or professional degree earned
- Proof of competence in the English language. Candidates are required to either hold the Proficiency or take the TOEFL (100 minimum score-ALBA code 0942), or the IELTS (7.0 minimum score), unless their Bachelor's degree has been awarded from an English speaking academic institution (photocopy)
- Essays
- A minimum GMAT score of 550 is expected (ALBA MBA in Shipping code 3BM-38-60)
- Military Service completion certificate (photocopy)
- Receipt of the application fee's deposit (ALPHA Bank account No 101/002 320 011893 and for non-Greek deposits International Bank Account Number (IBAN): GR21 0140 1010 1010 0232 0011 893 Swift code (BIC): CRBAGRAAXXX)
- Applicants, who cannot obtain an official transcript in a reasonable time, may send a photocopy of unofficial transcripts as a temporary substitute in order to expedite the evaluation process.
As part of the admissions process, personal interviews are also required. Applications lacking any required documents will not be processed unless these documents are received within the proper time. Admission to the Diploma is decided by the Admissions Committee on the basis of the qualifications and the applicant's personality and commitment.
b. For auditors:
Submit the following documents:
- An updated curriculum vitae
- Proof of competence in the English language
As part of the admissions process, personal interviews are also required.
Tuition Fees*
For entry year: November 2010
Courses totaling between 1 and 6 credits: 620 Euros per credit
Courses totaling between 7 and 10 credits: 560 Euros per credit
Courses totaling between 11 and 14 credits: 495 Euros per credit
In addition, companies sending more than 2 participants receive 10% discount and if they send more than 4 participants they receive 20% discount**.
ALBA Corporate Members enjoy a 20% additional discount.
* Teaching materials are included in the tuition fees.
** To secure any volume discount, a 20% registration fee is payable in advance. Registration fees are non refundable after having started attending classes.
Please note:
To attend class, participants must deposit the respective course fee in advance of the first session.
ALBA accepts applications all year round & candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible. However, applications received after the beginning of each course will not be reviewed for the current intake, but will certainly be reviewed for next year's intake.
